About Daniel Lee + Contact Information

Daniel Lee is an architect in private practice in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia.  He spent his childhood in Paris, France, the son of Protestant missionaries. It was there as a child, combined with extensive travel throughout Europe, that he first developed his love of fine art, architecture and gardens.  Following graduation from the Mississippi School of Architecture in 1981, he completed professional internships in the south, worked with noted classicist Allan Greenberg, and continued additional studies abroad with leading European urbanists and practitioners, under patronage of HRH The Prince of Wales.  His practice is committed to applying the enduring wisdom of past traditions, and present masters, to the design needs of modern clients.  He is well versed in beautiful design and exceptional detailing.  This site attempts to explore many of the issues inherent in his craft.  His firm’s main website offers extensive photographs of selected works (see links).  He can be reached by phone at 703-836-6006, or by email at Daniel@DanielLeeArchitect.com.
